Playa Capital Partners is an opportunistic, value oriented investment management firm with operational expertise and an expansive network within the Department of Defense. Playa’s objective is to generate non-market correlated, risk-adjusted absolute returns within lower-middle private equity. The Firm has on-going, direct and regular communications with the military services (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard) and the Pentagon, collectively the Department of Defense (“DoD”) to discuss ways to strengthen the Defense Industrial Supply Base (“DIB”). Founded by Michael Accordino (“Founder” or “Principal”) in 2018, Playa deploys an unconstrained investment mandate to maximize returns while taking the least amount of risks during all parts of the economic and credit cycle.

Playa is led by Michael Accordino and supported by various advisors in operational, financial and strategic capacities.
About Michael Accordino
Michael Accordino is the Founder and Managing Partner of Playa Capital Partners. Michael is the President of Amfuel, a Playa portfolio company, and sits on its Board of Directors. Michael also sits on the Board of Directors of Arzon, a Playa portfolio company.
Michael was previously a Vice President and Co-Head of the Tactical Opportunities Group (“Tac Opps”), an opportunistic and flexible mandate to invest across distressed debt, special situations and bespoke direct lending at Rimrock Capital Management. Previously, Michael was a Vice President within the Distressed Debt Group at Cerberus Capital Management. Michael began his career within investment banking at Peter J.
Solomon Company. Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and was Captain of the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team.
Michael was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Military Affairs Council for the State of Arkansas and represents Amfuel
on the CH-53K Washington Steering Group Committee with the Navy, the Pentagon and Sikorsky / Lockheed Martin.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys coaching his children’s sports and spending time outdoors.
